Setting the Standard for Quality
The Benedictine Sisters of the St. Scholastica Monastery have long been known as health care pioneers in this region. They built St. Mary's Medical Center over a century ago to meet the needs of a growing populace in northeastern Minnesota. Over the years, dozens more health care facilities were launched and have networked to from the Benedictine Health System which is also headquartered in Duluth.
When the sisters created the Benedictine Health Center in 1980, it was with one goal in mind: to provide the very best long-term care available in the area. Their commitment was to bring together the greatest program and people to enhance the quality of life for older adults, young children and individuals with special needs.
The Benedictine Health Center remains an extraordinary place - creating innovative programs, expanding services and promoting progressive leadership among a highly valued team of professional healthcare providers and educators. We take great pride in our heritage and in the care, compassion and competence of our staff.
